The Milton® Air Brake Servicing Kit is designed to allow the Technician to safely perform maintenance services on the air brake system. A safe, speedy alternative to the old' pour and spill into glad-hand. The Milton® Air Brake Servicing Kit allows you to quickly and easily release frozen brakes and pre-treat trailers to reduce the risk of frozen air brake lines and possible jackknifing by disbursing controlled bursts of de-icing solution. Ideal for servicing tactical vehicles, semi-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, or any other platform with an air brake system.
How to Use Brake Releaser®
1) Install The Brake Releaser®
- Evacuate air from trailer brake system
- Disconnect emergency line glad hand from trailer
- Attach The Brake Releaser® to the trailer glad hand
- Connect tractor emergency glad hand to the Brake Releaser®
- For best results, make sure The Brake Releaser® sits level
2) Add De-icing Fluid to Frozen Brake Lines
- Remove The Brake Releaser® lid from bowl
- Pour the appropriate deicing solution for your trailer’s brake system into The Brake Releaser® bowl and replace lid
- Turn valve to the “open” position
- Move to cab and engage the trailer air supply to send deicing fluid to frozen brake lines
- Turn valve to the “closed” position
3) Uninstall The Brake Releaser®
- Move to cab and evacuate air from trailer brake system
- Relieve pressure from the bowl
- Detach The Brake Releaser® from tractor and trailer glad hand connections
- Reconnect the emergency line to trailer, and you’re on your way
Air Brake Servicing Tool “1210MINI”
1) Install Tool
- Connect to service or emergency glad hand
- Connect to air source line
- Turn on ball valve
- Service brake system
2) Uninstall Tool
- Turn off ball valve
- Disconnect from air source
- Uncouple from glad hand
